Dear Everyone, Christmas will soon arrive to be followed by a new year! As usual, we would break from our normal day to day activities in order to spend the occasion with our families, friends and loved ones. Christmas season also presents us with an opportunity to celebrate, reflect, and remember those who may be among the poor and the vulnerable in our society. This is the time we must serve others with an abundance of joy to bring smiles to their faces too. 

In this special time of celebration, I give thanks to all members of the great UDS family from whom I draw so much strength as Vice-Chancellor. It is my prayer that you and your families will experience an abundance of joy. Together with all of you, I look forward to a new year filled with hope for our great University. I look forward to welcoming all the fresh and continuing students, as well as all staff of the University in the coming year, with renewed energy, as we all work towards recognizing and finding new ways of achieving the vision of the University. On behalf of the University Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students, I wish you all, especially our Christian brothers and sisters the very best of Allah's blessings.
