UDS’ Professor Amalba Honored By The Pharmaceutical Society Of Ghana
Prof. Anthony Amalba, has been conferred the highest Honour of Fellow by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana for his exemplary contributions to the growth and development of the Pharmacy profession in Ghana.
Prof. Amalba received the recognition at the 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana which came off in Takoradi from September 4 - 8, 2023 under the theme “The Pharmacist for National Development”
Prof. Anthony Amalba is an Associate Professor in Health Professions education at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) of the University for Development Studies (UDS).
He is a registered pharmacist with more than 28 years of professional experience having worked in the regulatory, hospital and community settings.
He is a fellow of the West Africa Postgraduate College of Pharmacists and the Ghana Postgraduate College of Pharmacists. He has participated and presented papers at international and local conferences. His research interests are in health professions education including problem-based learning and Community-Based Education and Service, inter-professional education, curriculum development and pharmacy practice. problem-based learning and Community-Based Education and Service, inter-professional education, curriculum development and pharmacy practice.
