UDS Governing Council Appoints New Vice-Chancellor
The Governing Council of the University for Development Studies has announced the appointment of Professor Seidu Al-hassan as the new Vice Chancellor whose tenure begins on September 1, 2022.
A statement signed by the Registrar, Mr. Nurudeen-Issah Abubakar said “It is announced for the information of the University for Development Studies (UDS) Community, and other stakeholders of the University that, the UDS Governing Council, at an Emergency Meeting held on Thursday 9th June, 2022, appointed Professor Seidu Al-hassan as Vice Chancellor.”
According to the statement, "The Governing Council discussed and approved the Report of the Search Committee for the position of Vice-Chancellor, which proposed the names of Professor Seidu Al-hassan and Professor Felix Kofi Abagale for consideration and appointment, in accordance with Statute 8, subsection 8.10 of the UDS Statutes”.
