UDS Alumnus Donates 10 Thousand Ghana Cedis To Support The Construction Of A Gatehouse On The Nyankpala Campus

The UDS Alumni Association has received a donation of ten thousand Ghana Cedis from one of its members, Hon. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, to support the construction of a Gatehouse for the second entrance of the Nyankpala Campus of the University to enhance security of students. Lecturers and University property.

Hon. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, who is a Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, and who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Sissala East Constituency in the Upper West Region, made the donation during the UDS Developer Dialogue Series organised by the Alumni Association in Accra.

A befitting gatehouse, beyond its function as a passage between the Nyankpala town and the campus, and as an interface, will also contribute significantly towards the construction and maintenance of the University’s identity in the nearby communities.
The President of the UDS Alumni Association, Prof. Terry Ansah, whilst sending a word of appreciation to Hon. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, invited other members of the Association to contribute to the success of the project.
