UDS Alumni Association Supports Vice-Chancellor's Business Innovation Awards
The Alumni Association of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has donated Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (10,000.00) towards the UDS Vice-Chancellor’s Business Innovation Award Scheme. This follows an initial agreement signed between the Alumni Association and the UDS Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (UDS-BIIC). The brief ceremony was held at the Central Administration Block on Thursday October 21, 2021.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of the National Alumni, the President, Prof. Terry Ansah indicated that the growth and development of all members of the Alumni Association is essential to the Association, hence their resolve to partner with UDS-BIIC to nurture potential business leaders among students and alumni of the UDS.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gabriel Ayum Teye receiving the donation, thanked the Alumni Association for their tremendous support towards the award scheme and other projects in the University. He urged the Alumni to continue supporting the University’s vision of contributing to job creation. The Vice-Chancellor noted that the UDS-BIIC initiative will equip students and Alumni of the University with the entrepreneurial mindset to start their own businesses and create more employment opportunities in the country.
The 2nd edition of the Vice-Chancellor’s Business Innovation Awards will be held on October 28, 2021 at the UDS Multi-Purpose Auditorium, Tamale Campus with the CEO of Bridgewater Facilities Management, Hashim Attakurah Suleman as the Guest of Honour.
Present at the ceremony were the Director of BIIC, Dr. Richard Yeboah, Assistant Accountant of BIIC; Mr. Peter Panford and some National Alumni Executives.
