Registrar and Deputy Registrar of UDS Selected for U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program
The Registrar of the University for Development Studies, UDS, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar and Deputy Registrar, Dr Iddrisu Mahamadu Tanko have been selected to participate in a U.S. Department of State- sponsored, International Visitor Leadership Program. From 25th September, 2022 to 5th October 2022, the 2 UDS top Management staff, together with leaders from 5 other universities from Ghana who have been selected to participate in the program, will be among the guests of the U.S. Government.
The theme for the program is "Innovations in University Administration - IVLP On Demand". The international Visitor Leadership Program seeks to build mutual understanding through carefully designed visits that reflect visitors’ professional interests. During this professional exchange, The Registrar and Deputy Registrar will have the opportunity to meet, observe, learn, and share ideas with counterparts in the United States.
Participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program are selected from those who have contributed to their society and their country and have the potential to make even greater contribution in the future. Many past participants, from Ghana and other countries, now occupy the highest positions in their professions, including ambassadors, editors, ministers of state, and presidents and prime ministers.
The UDS community has high hopes that the two top administrators of the University, will profit from this exchange and return richer in experience and knowledge to help place UDS among the top Universities in the world.
