Members of the University for Development Studies Debate Society who excelled at THE 2022 Kumasi Debate Open, have presented their awards to the Registrar of the University, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar.

Two members of the UDS debate society, Mahadi Awedaga Ayiwoli and Ayisha Abdul Somed, won 3 medals at the Annual International Inter Universities Debate in Kumasi including the award for 3rd Best Public Speaker and second-best debate judge, respectively.

The Director of Sports at UDS, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko, who led the debaters to make the presentation, also used the occasion to present to the Registrar, the bronze medal the UDS football team won at the just ended Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU), games in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Registrar, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar said the achievements of the students add to the visibility of the University not only for academic work but also extra-curricular activities.

He was grateful to the staff and students whose dedication to hard work had earned the University such feats.
The Director of Sports, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko was grateful to Management for the support the sports Directorate continues to receive over the years.
